craigsmith Craig Smith: Sli Beatha founder & Ard Taoiseach and WPF President
A former police and special operations officer, Craig Smith is owner of Delta Publishing, publisher and editor-in-chief of Grandmaster Magazine, founder and Ard Taoiseach (chief instructor) of the Sli Beatha Celtic martial life system, Director of the Heart of America Aerobics Association and American Martial Training, Director of SafeLife Self-Defense, and President of the World Pankration Federation. He has trained members of U.S. Army Special Forces, Rangers, Navy SEALs, Marine Recon, Air Force and police special operations units, and has worked with the FBI, DEA, ATF and other agencies. duane Duane Hamacher: MMAC President
Duane Hamacher is the Mizzou Martial Arts Club founder, Mizzou Sli Beatha Taoiseach (instructor) and a World Pankration Federation certified instructor, coach & referee and Director of Information for the WPF. He is also founder and president of the Mizzou Celtic Society. He has 7 years experience in Sli Beatha and 4 years in sport Pankration. Duane holds an 11th ceim in Sli Beatha and has taught at Mizzou for four years and at Central Missouri State University for two years. He also has experience in Judo and submission grappling. Mr. Hamacher is a Specialist in the U.S. Army Reserve Transportation Corps and holds a BS in Physics from the University of Missouri. He is currently pursuing a Master's degrees in Physics at Mizzou. He lives in Columbia, Missouri.

duane Adam Bertrand: MMAC Vice-President
Adam Bertrand is the Mizzou Martial Arts Club Vice-President, Assistant Instructor and Pankration Team Captain. He holds a Ceim 3 in Sli Beatha and has 1 year training in Pankration with prior experience in wrestling. Mr. Bertrand is a junior Business Management major at Mizzou.







ralphrowlett Dr. Ralph Rowlett: Academic Advisor
Dr. Rowlett is a Professor of Anthropology at Mizzou. He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University, 1968. His main geographic research area is Europe, but he has participated in research from Asia, Africa, and the Pacific as well as North America. Most of his research centers on the Iron Age, but projects have touched upon all the major periods of prehistory back to the australopithecines. The main topics have been societal archaeology, especially socio-cultural groups, forms, and political aspects such as the chiefdom, and preindustrial technology. He is also the advisor to the Mizzou Celtic Society and is considered an expert in Celtic & Iron Age Archaeology.
